This work inspired by my daughter who has struggled with health conditions that have affected her self esteem and confidence this year.
She is healing and this portrait shows her “resting face” with eyes closed. She struggled to see how beautiful she is when societal standards and pressures on young women are judged constantly by their physical appearance.
This resting face depicts her current state of mind now where beauty comes from within.
