My artworks focus on capturing the details of found treasures such as feathers and leaves. Growing up in the Blue Mountains, I felt a strong connection with nature. Now living in the Inner West of Sydney, I am constantly trying to find ways to connect with nature in a more urban environment. Discovering, appreciating, collecting, curating and recording are some of the ways I do this. Leaves are symbolic of the sense of belonging, identity and bond I have to the bushland of my childhood. I document and record fragments of my environment, bringing memories of previous landscapes and places to my work.
