Q: Where is the Paint and Brunch on at?
A: Find us nestled between the old Wool Store apartment buildings and the Riverwalk way. When planning your visit to Barko & Co for a paint and sip session, please note that on-site parking is not available at the cafe. To ensure a stress-free start to your creative experience, we recommend the following options:
On-Street Parking: Limited free and metered street parking can be found on surrounding streets like Macquarie Street, Florence Street, and Vernon Terrace. Please be mindful of 2-hour limits (2P) and Brisbane City Council parking zones, as time restrictions are strictly enforced in this high-traffic area.
Nearby Paid Parking: For longer sessions, the Gasworks Plaza Car Park (approx. 600m away) offers 2 hours of free parking, with paid rates applying thereafter. Other nearby options include Get Parked on Morse Street or various secure lots in the Newstead precinct.
Alternative Transport: Given that parking in Teneriffe is often described as "nightmarish" by locals, many guests prefer taking the CityCat to the Teneriffe Ferry Terminal (an 850m walk) or using the CityGlider (Route 60) bus.
Q: How do I join the waitlist for future events?
A: Simply sign up on our Eventbrite page or follow us on Instagram @artdirectoryau to be the first to know about the next session.
